‘Person in the Mirror’ represents a person’s two sides. One that they show to the world, and the other being the one only they know about. This book covers one of the most important yet neglected topics in today’s world- mental health, and specifically how the unrealistic standards of social media affects everyone these days. People have stopped being themselves in the fear of rejection and being judged as someone not worthy of fitting into society based on their own looks, shape, ethnicity, choices. Thereby forcing them into decisions that might potentially be ruining their own sanity to please others. The cover pages also signifies the same- one side being the cheerful and sweet person everyone sees, and another one being the insecure and distorted face hidden beneath. This book has some amazing pieces which talk about the larger issues around the topic under consideration and it’s totally recommended that you give them all a read.
